Book Description This 270 page book discusses engineering, design and operations for many different types of VAV systems. Information is provided describing the proper steps that must be taken to design and operate a VAV system in order to assure proper operation. Case studies are presented regarding how indroduction of VAV systems made major improvements in the operations of several different types of facilities. A software program that calculates the improvements that can be made in both new and existing systems is also discussed. Specific controllers and controls are also evaluated such as those provide by Titus, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Barber Coleman, Kreuter, Staefa and others. The installation, selection and operation of these controls are all discussed, in addition to the implications of improperly interfacing terminal boxes with the duct systems.
